CultureCon for all, and for free. Late this afternoon The Creative Collective NYC announced that its premier offering, CultureCon, would be available at no cost to future and existing ticket holders complements of Square, Inc.

As brands like Complexcon announce plans to press forward with in-person events, CultureCon will remain “@ Home.” Not only does this further highlight how large scale productions may be permanently shifting to virtual models but also emphasizes the increasing buy-in from prominent sponsors.

The internet itself has revolutionized the way we access information. Social media has transformed the way we interact with others. Now, I get the sense that the global pandemic - and our fairly quick adjustment to it - may be the catalyst to catapults us into real life applications of augmented and virtual reality. It’s yet to be seen whether society will clamor back to “the way things used to be” but there’s no doubt that many are pioneering a new normal.
