I arrived for my first facial greeted by a quiet sunny space - open and clean, decorated with fun Queen City pop art. Shortly I was shown to the treatment room where my facialist reviewed the questionaire I filled out and thoroughly explained what services she suggested. When trying anything new it’s always best to take the advice of the experts. Personally I love reading about what active ingredients do and am tempted to sample them all but experience has taught me to stick with what works for me.
Per her advice, we started with the Glow facial. A quick cleanse accompanied by a steady cloud of warm steam prepped my face for the exfoliating pumpkin mask. The delightful tingle and spicy scent were a lovely combination for the senses. I took the leap and went for extractions to clear up some congestion around my nose. If you’re nervous about this part just keep in mind that it doesn’t hurt at all, you’ll just feel a little pressure. We followed up with a clay-based mask to tighten pores and improve skin tone. Then out came the chilled facial globes! This was probably my favorite part. While the mask was still on I received a refreshing massage with these amazing glass globes - for a while I was on a mental vacation in the Swiss Alps. Once the mask was removed I started feeling like a kid on the last day of summer camp, knowing the fun was almost over.
Of course all good things must come to an end and what a glorious end it was. My Glow facial concluded with an intense face massage by hand - amazing. My facialist was so knowledgable and talked me through every step which I think is important for newbies and frequent spagoers alike. Afterwards my skin felt incredibly soft, getting glowier day by day. I would 10/10 recommend this service for anyone who wants professional, high-quality service on the go.
